Brooklyn Bridge Park Building Study

A study was prepared for the rehabilitation of existing structures on the site of the future Brooklyn Bridge Park. Based on three representative buildings, it provides recommendations for architectural upgrades under different scenarios such as continuing the existing use of each building, or changing the use of each building based on program driven alterations or code required upgrades. This study was provided for Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and upholds the mandate to maintain the site’s industrial waterfront history and to convey a sense of economy and material frugality.
