Hudson River Park Trust – Athletic Fields at Pier 40

The athletic fields are part of an urban renewal and adaptive reuse project along the Hudson River. A mixed-use pier structure with an open-court shipping depot was converted into four acres of outdoor assembly space consisting of sports fields that accommodate soccer, baseball and other sports. The landscape architect was Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects PC.
